That's absolutely wonderful! I think I'll read them all just for instruction and to learn what other people did as children. One thing I'll mention - I mentioned once before in a prior writing that the Kyrie was originally to highlight all 3 parts of the Trinity and the prayer was devoted to them. One thing we have lost as Catholics in recent years is that we have said this directed towards Christ alone. It's still wonderful but I think in some ways we have lost this tribute (if you will) to the Trinity.

I did not realize that about the Kyrie.

But devotion to the Trinity reminded me of Methodist Church. Every Sunday we sang:
Glory be to the Father
and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Of course, in our Rosary:
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end
Amen.

Back then, as a child, I used to think we were sooo close to being the same faith. I do think the moral values were closer back then.
-- Follow the commandments
-- Follow the greatest commandment

The recent changes in the Church of England and the Presbyterian Church of the USA and all these feel good entertainment churches have splintered our Christian brothers and sisters even more.

Thanks for the link - neat!

Sorry I couldn't get my act together for your book carnival! I've been up to elbows in gardening, and in this heat I'm so drained.
