Pope Benedict to Beatify John Paul on May 1!

Wonderful news!

It's official: John Paul II to be beatified on May 1 which (this year) is Divine Mercy Sunday! Here is a quote from the Vatican Information Service article. 

VATICAN CITY, 14 JAN 2011 (VIS) -

On 1 May, the second Sunday of Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday, Benedict XVI will preside at the rite of beatification for John Paul II in the Vatican.
