Untie Lazarus, and Let Him Go

Giotto Scrovengi
Jesus commanded, “Untie Lazarus, and let him go.”
Even though Lazarus could stumble himself out of his tomb, it would have been impossible to untie himself.
He needs someone to do that for him.
Likewise, Jesus through his priests in confession, unbinds the stronghold of sin and from the stench of death. Thus, reconciling us with God and our neighbor.
