Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings

Last week I learned about Kevin Jennings' and GLSEN's safe reading list for all public school children, and after what read (and saw), I wrote a post. Then I had to put it away for a bit.
There were two reasons for that:
  1. I was so angry that I could not see straight much less blog.
  2. I was not sure how to present this info.
I have decided that links were the way to go.
Please believe me when I say that you WILL NOT really "get this" unless you go to the links.

Copying and pasting would increase the probability of younger readers seeing it. That being stated -- if you are not @ least 18 years old, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE LINKS.  I do not think I have any young readers but if I do . . . . I need to stress the importance of having your parents read this FIRST and decide if you should read parts of the links.

Here is the intro to the info:

Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings was the founder, and for many years, Executive Director of an organization called the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). GLSEN started essentially as Jennings’ personal project and grew to become the culmination of his life’s work. And he was chosen by President Obama to be the nation’s Safe Schools Czar primarily because he had founded and led GLSEN (scroll for bio).
GLSEN’s stated mission is to empower gay youth in the schools and to stop harassment by other students. It encourages the formation of Gay Student Alliances and condemns the use of hateful words. GLSEN also strives to influence the educational curriculum to include materials which the group believes will increase tolerance of gay students and decrease bullying. To that end, GLSEN maintains a recommended reading list of books that it claims “furthers our mission to ensure safe schools for all students.” In other words, these are the books that GLSEN’s directors think all kids should be reading: gay kids should read them to raise their self-esteem, and straight kids should read them in order to become more aware and tolerant and stop bullying gay kids. Through GLSEN’s online ordering system, called “GLSEN BookLink,” featured prominently on their Web site, teachers can buy the books to use as required classroom assignments, or students can buy them to read on their own.

Here is the link where you can go to read the rest. I warn you, it is explicit and vile. But, you WILL NOT really "get this" unless you go to the links.

Here, also, is a link to a related story regarding Jennings and Planned Parenthood  of which you should be aware.

Politically, the bottom line for me is that Obama is responsible for this current scandal because he appointed Jennings.  He needs to explain why this garbage is appropriate and necessary for our kids. What does it have to do with our kid's having "a safe learning environment"?

What I want more than that is for Jennings to be removed immediately.

It is so disgusting and unbelievable! I'm afraid most people will shrug it off as untrue. We contacted the White House yesterday and will continue to do so. My thought is that with enough pressure, he'll resign on Christmas Eve and the story will be lost and no one will question the administration about it.

Thanks for linking to my blog (Conservative Hideout. The more people that see this, the more likely that this man will be fired.

We also must remember, that even if he is fired, GLSEN will still be in the schools, and will still be recommending these books. If we cut the head off of this snake, it'll just grow another head. The body must be dealt with as well.
