Indoctrination into *tribalism is a deceivingly slippery slope. The mentality of tribalism currently supports:
- Planned Parenthood (have you read about their attempts to cover up statutory rape?)
- ACORN workers willing to go along with importing 13 year old sex slaves and to give advice.
- The defense by many to excuse the behavior of Roman Polanski in the drugging, rape, and sodomizing of a 13 year old girl.
- The morning after pill
- Abortion
We easily fall into **blatant relativism without a transcendent point of reference.
Where does one find that transcendent point of reference? It is found in the fullness of truth of the Catholic Church & in the ***Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
Have you noticed that those who have abandoned or rejected Catholic truth
(a) often think they've never been so lucid in their lives
(b) inevitably fall into predictable patterns of neo-paganism, complete with human sacrifice: the correct understanding of abortion and infanticide.
(c) Ironically they act as their own personal Pope
*trib·al·ism (from Merriam-Webster)
1 : tribal consciousness and loyalty; especially : exaltation of the tribe above other groups
2 : strong in-group loyalty
2 : strong in-group loyalty
**rel·a·tiv·ism (from Merriam-Webster)
1 a : a theory that knowledge is relative to the limited nature of the mind and the conditions of knowing
b : a view that ethical truths depend on the individuals and groups holding them ***Magisterium of the Catholic Church
This teaching role of the successors of the apostles, gathered around the successor of Peter, is called “the Magisterium,” which simply comes from the Latin word for teaching office. The Magisterium is not superior to the Word of God coming to us through Scripture and Tradition. Instead, the Magisterium is clearly under its authority–it is the servant of the Word. Its role is to faithfully safeguard the truth about God and his plan for our lives which came to full expression in the teaching and saving work of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. It is not to add to God’s revelation or to subtract from it. Only to faithfully interpret and apply it (CCC 85-86)
