Interesting article. However, I doubt most people give much thought to Subsidiarity, what we usually refer to as federalism.
Most Americans don't trust government, period. That is why Ronald Reagan got such a belly laugh with these words: "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
