Amy Welborn's husband, Michael Dubruiel died this morning. He collapsed at the gym and was not able to be revived despite the efforts of EMTs and hospital personnel.
The family is devastated and begs your prayers.
May he rest in peace and may his family know the mercy of God's love and consolation.

I just posted about it on my blog too. How devastating for them. I will keep them in my prayers.
Though I have never met Amy Welborn, I have considered her a friend for some time. My heart aches for her. May God bless them all. I posted Today's reflection from her book "A Catholic Woman's Book of Days." Cathy
This is so, so sad.
May he rest in peace. my family's prayers are with Amy and her children. I cannot imagine what she is going through right now. May God give her strength and consolation.
FYI - Father Z is collecting spiritual bouquet posts.
Amy has requested that those who would like to help should buy Michael's books because the proceeds go directly to their kids college fund. Lisa Hendey at Catholic Mom is helping with that request at http://new.catholicmom.com/2009/02/04/february-book-club/.
Michael Dubruiel's great book on the Mass moving up the charts at Amazon. I don't know where it was yesterday, but it's taken a huge jump already today as we all work together to support the family.
Right now, the How To Book of the Mass is #1 under the Religion subcategories Catholicism, Ritual, and Prayer, Under Religion, it’s #26 and #253 for all of Amazon today. St. Blogs community is clearly putting your money where your mouths are.
Danielle Bean has also established a support fund to a donation fun to help their children at her site: http://daniellebean.com/2009/02/04/please-help-spread-the-word/
