The first sign of Vatican disappointment with the Obama administration came on Saturday, January 24th, 2009 when Holy See officials reacted to the President’s executive order reversing the Mexico City policy, thus making federal money available to promote abortion internationally.
Obama signed the executive order canceling the eight-year-old restrictions on Friday, the third day of his presidency.
ORIGINAL POST:
LifeSiteNews jumped the gun on Tuesday, informing readers that President Obama would “immediately” reverse the so-called “Mexico City Policy." Kathleen Gilbert, the author of the LifeSiteNews story, tells us that “anonymous” sources confirmed Obama’s decision.
This reversal has not happened yet but I think that it is fair to look at the whitehouse.gov agenda where Pres. Obama clearly lays out his desire to overturn the Mexico City Policy.
But just because it wasn’t today doesn’t mean we should all relax about this. We should be vigilant in getting the pro-life message out there and mobilizing others to raise a lot of noise against anti-life policies. Because if the message isn’t made, then it can’t be heard by the Obama administration.
Let's all inundate the White House with thank you notes to Obama for not reversing the Mexico City Policy. With the current Administration, the absolute WORST thing pro-lifers could do would be to retreat into the woodwork and hope for the best. We have to be active in speaking up whenever Obama takes action on abortion, whether it’s positive or negative action.
You can send a message to Obama here.
On a bit of a different note:
Obama delivered his Inaugural Address, calling for a "new era of responsibility."

I just hear on CNN that Obama is reversing the stem cell research ban. I think I heard that this has already happened.
