Remember That Lucifer was Beautiful

And he is still cunning.

Last month, the British Humanist Association started a campaign on London buses with the message: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

Here in the USA? In Washington DC how about this, "Why believe in God? Just be good for goodness sake."
Fred Edwords, spokesman for the Washington based humanist group said,
"The purpose isn't to argue that God doesn't exist or change minds about a deity, although we are trying to plant a seed of rational thought and critical thinking and questioning in people's minds."
HT to Chronicles of Atlantis for this heads up. Their post is adroitly entitled: Hubris and Naïveté Meet and Make-out

The American Humanist Association is planting ads on sides of buses and bus stops: Why believe in God?

OK, does this statement not scream at anyone else?
"We are trying to plant a seed of rational thought and critical thinking and questioning in people's minds."
Satan is still cunning.

Isn't this is a mirror image of Adam and Eve's temptation to place their judgment, their discernment, their rationalization above God?

"Probably" hmmm, they don't sound too sure...wouldn't that cause worry and less enjoyment?! It's not like you'll know "rationally" until it's too late!

Nice timing on the part of the atheists(sarcasm). what an awful message going into Christmas. I would think it would turn people off their mission. It just goes to show how much they don't get. Faith is what makes life beautiful, less worrisome, and more enjoyable.

I read about a Christian group that gave some money to the campaign in England because they thought it was a way of opening up people's minds and thinking about God. I don't know if their rational was correct. I didn't think it was a good thing to do personally.

It was very disconcerting to me, too, to hear of this campaign. Good heavens. Biggest problem is that it's our young people who are most vulnerable to this kind of attack. It's made to look like the sophisticated, the cool way to think. God help us. We need to counter this with many ads of our own. And prayers ~ something they don't have! (We already know our Boss beats their boss, easy!)
