Working in the Kitchen

Our youngest helped us with a kitchen update!

He cleaned, measured, painted and organized.

What a great helper!

He and Dad made an amazing shelf for my kitchen. A cool couple of days work!

And we all, Ginger included, enjoy our bright new room!

The shelves are working out just great! I can find what I am looking for in a snap and I finally have a place to put my pretty pitchers, funky chicken toy, mini bean crock pot and cookbooks.
Can you tell that organizing makes me happy? :-)

Very nice photos. Nice to see your family ones. BTW, that kitten is growing quickly isn't it?

What a coincidence . . . I just spent the last two days totally reorganizing my pantry.

Organizing makes me happy, too!

Barb, thanks! The color photographed exactly (late afternoon light) -- I was surprised. I love the way colors change in the different light depending on the time of the day, too!

Shelly, I cannot fathom how I functioned in this kitchen before the shelves! They are uber useful (as my 19 year old might say)!!

Esther, Yes! Ginger is growing so quickly! I compared these pictures to the first one on the blog and it is incredible.
You know, my husband is allergic to cats . . . he has been a saint to welcome this critter into our household. He has a blast watching Ginger grow, too!

Bia,
Don't you LOVE an organized pantry?
I am going to dive into a "Works for me Wednesday" one of these days and share my secret weapon of pantry organizing!

That is one of those colors that is going to be beautiful in any light! Hmmm, my kitchen needs a paint job....

How does your husband function with the cat around if he is allergic? I have about 30 minutes (WITH medication) before the presence of "cat" sets off my allergies and asthma. :(

Peggy, I LOVE this! The shelves with the jars is a great solution! Your two picture subjects are adorable, too!
