Itty Bitty Bible

I found this today and thought it was pretty unique. I am NOT plugging it and probably will not be buying it. But having marketing in my background I found it ingenious.

I would, on the other hand, love to have an "Itty Bitty Bible and CCC" that was credit card size that I could.....say, plug into my iphone (when I get one in ~10 years) and actually view the Bible and the CCC. Now that would be cool but it will probably be alot more than $10.00 which is the price for this Itty Bitty Bible.

Here is the info:

Bibles come in various shapes and sizes these days, and now there's even one that fits in your wallet. Amazing Faith Company, which manufactures and markets faith-based products out of New York, has created a Bible that fits right in your pocket to stay close to you at all times.

As the name suggests, the "Itty Bitty Bible" is only the size of a credit card and weighs less than an ounce.

Two small medieval doors swing open to reveal the Holy Bible. Over 1,200 pages of the complete King James Version have been reduced 285 times through a unique photographic process and are captured on a one and one-fourth inch window of microfilm. The text can be viewed word for word using a standard compound microscope.

Although the words are illegible to the naked human eye, Amazing Faith Company's slogan reassures, "Have faith.. .it's all in there!" The Itty Bitty Bible serves as a reminder that while faith cannot always be seen, it is always within us, 365 days a year.

In keeping with the good will of the holiday season, Amazing Faith Company will be donating 5,000 Itty Bitty Bibles to soldiers serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, from Nov. 15 to Jan. 1, 2008.

The inspirational keepsake is also offered in the Catholic Latin version and will soon be available in Spanish.

Definitely ingenius and I bought 3! I find a great deal of comfort in knowing that I have God's word on me at all times.

Its interesting to me that so many find so much spirituality and comfort in wearing the cross...how much more so being able to carry the actual Word of God instead of some jewelry designer's latest creation.

So glad you thought they were ingenious, too. Have you received them yet?
I wonder what the delivery time is this close to Christmas :-)

Plug-in Bible for the iPhone? Why not just have it on the iPhone itself (already possible)?

THAT is a great idea!
