WWJD

"When someone asks you 'think about what Jesus would do', remember that a valid option is to freak out and turn over tables" -- Unknown

You know, at first read, I laughed. . . . I remembered Jesus purging the Temple.

Then it really sunk in.

Being a Christian does not equal complacency and passivity. Being a follower of Christ often calls us to action and being complacent is the sin.
I know you know this -- I just liked the quote and wanted to share it.

Funny how God works to speak to each of us in perfect timing. Here is a coincidence(?) -- Two days ago I added a quote to my email signature. This is part of that quote:
Pope Benedict XV says, "... only let him endeavor to be in reality what he calls himself."

Being Christian & Catholic often calls us to action, demands that we speak up, asks that we make a difference. Is it just me? That is HUGE! That is life changing and a moral compass that I need to acknowledge more aggressively. I don't know why it is hitting home so much - but it is!

Here is Pope Benedict XV's more complete quote.

There is no need of adding any qualifying terms to the profession of Catholicism: it is quite enough for each one to proclaim"Christian is my name and Catholic my surname," only let him endeavor to be in reality what he calls
himself. -- Pope Benedict XV
