Part of a great post by John Jansen over @

". . . . Pope Benedict XIV is a thoughtful, gentle, and holy man who is doing his best to speak the Church’s beautiful teaching to a braying horde of crazies . . . . . those moralistic deists who let Oprah or FoxNews do all their thinking for them.
That he maintains his gentle and thoughtful composure in the midst of such a TV-addled culture with the attention span of fruit flies is astounding to me."

I agree 100%. It is an inherent gift of our Popes to have patience and gentleness in all matters. They are always the most thought-filled individuals who never speak before careful consideration of what they are going to say, and they don't jump at every crazy and irrational thing thrown at our Church. The selection of the Head of the Holy Roman Catholic Church is surely done with Divine intervention. It is a position which hold the weight of the world on his shoulders, yet never faltering beyond wisdom on any given moment.
Enjoyed this, Soutenous!
Be blessed,
Abbey ♥
